I just noticed from the "Switched to Linux" Youtube channel, that the new LibreOffice 6 update is available.

When a libre software like LibreOffice available in the Trisquel Add/Remove Applications folder is updated, does the updated software automatically appear on the Trisquel Add/Remove Applications folder or do I download the new software updates from other websites?

If, for instance on the notebook I have LibreOffice 5.4.4 and on the Trisquel Add/Remove Applications the update is not available, is it OK to download the new LibreOffice 6 software from www.libreoffice.org or from www.ninite.com?

Thanks for your advice.

Except for Abrowser and IceCat, the versions of the packages in a given version of Trisquel are frozen. Regular updates only fix security issues or otherwise critical bugs. LibreOffice 6 will be in Trisquel 9, probably. But, yes, you can download the .deb for your architecture on https://www.libreoffice.org/download/download/ and install it (with GDebi, in Trisquel's repository, just double-click on the .deb file).
