Synapse by default in the next Trisquel versions
The Synapse is a great tool for fast searching.
Some applications are hidden in Trisquel Brigantia (eg. system monitor, is possible run "gnome-system-monitor" with alt + f2, but it is not easy.)
"File search" in GNOME is slow and does not have a shortcut to active.
The GNOME Shell search engine is good, but Synapse is better because the GNOME Shell does not search for all files.
With Synapse you can search files (audio, video, documents, images), applications, run command, search the internet(Google by default) and even shut down, suspend, log out from the keyboard.
And the best is easy to open it, you can use any shortcut or ctrl + space by default.

What do you guys think?
Sure looks cutesy. It's licensed partly under the GPL and the LGPL and is available in Trisquel repos.
I personally use a terminal to run stuff and mlocate to find files but each to her own. The centralization sounds interesting as does the keyboard over mouse aspect. I wonder how heavy the zeitgeist daemon is.
I'll give it a try. :)
I've been using Synapse since it was introduced and I must say that I
absolutely love it. I support icarolongo's suggestion to include it by
default in the next Trisquel.
On the other hand, I prefer Kupfer Here's a video review about it.
