Toutatis: VLC freezes on RV250

I found odd behaviour in fresh Toutatis install: VLC freezes on all videos on my Thinkpad R51, and I have to kill the x server to get over it. The computer has an ATI RV250 / FireGL 9000 graphic card, running the radeon driver. Issue doesn't appear with mplayer, and it didn't happen on taranis.

You should try to switch the video output module for VLC and play around with the different ones available. VLC works fine for me on the last Trisquel box I set up this weekend (with an ATI 9250 graphic adapter).
If nothing works, SMPlayer is still a valid replacement for VLC.
