Pale Moon worked well in Trisquel 8 & 9. I've downloaded and uncompressed the latest PM build, but when clicked, Trisquel goes back to the sign in screen.

This is the original tarball :-
/home/user/Downloads/palemoon-32.1.0.linux-x86_64-gtk3.tar.xz
Is gtk3 correct ?

Also what program checks the security of the downloaded file signatures ?

I've tried the official Pale Moon version 32.1 on Trisquel 11 and it ran with no problem, but I've always used the GTK2 version. You might try that one. Important to note that Pale Moon probably won't get official support on this forum as it is considered non-free software due to its trademark restrictions. I've started working on a free version that I'm tentatively calling Libre Moon, you can see the discussion on it here: https://trisquel.info/en/forum/pale-moon-dev-interested-speaking-fsf-who-would-be-good-fsf-person-contact

I left a download link for a testing version of Libre Moon GTK2 in that thread, if you are interested in testing it out. It's based on the latest Pale Moon version 32.1.
