Trisquel 5.5 no audio out from vlc or clementine
hi i have a download for try trisquel 5.5 on virtual box 4.12 on my iMac 24. The installer is ok but i don't plays audio from vlc and clementine player or other program audio. Other problem i have a download from update manager radio try,but it's don't work sand don't exit from panel. I have a download version trisquel 5.5 from here http://devel.trisquel.info/makeiso/iso/triskel_5.5-RC_amd64.iso

Do you have any sound at all? For instance, do you hear something when executing this command (I assume the chosen sound file still is present in Trisquel 5.5):
$ aplay /usr/share/sounds/card_shuffle.wav
Have you checked the output volumes with 'alsamixer'?
hi magic banana. Yes my alsa mixer is ok from level out master. I have a load 50 audio file ogg vorbis and various video from my folder dropbox. It's don't work on clementine player and vlc player ( video is ok but audio no in vlc)
I do not understand whether some of your applications (such as the very basic 'aplayer' command I suggested you to use) produce sound.
That is the first thing to check. That would be surprising if two completely different applications would meet independent problems causing a same symptom (the absence of sound).

I resolved, some libraries were missing from gstreamer and vlc installare.ora
clementines work perfectly on trisqeul 5.5
hello Chris, but more than bugs, I think it was my carelessness in not seeing that lacked the gstreamer libraries to load.
VLC has been pretty solid for me but I have also been using https://launchpad.net/~n-muench/+archive/vlc for 5.5 (Oneiric) which I assume is mainly free software.

I solved it by installing the gstreamer libraries that were missing. Now vlc and clementine player work perfect in trisquel 5.5. RadioTray work perfect :) hi

I think that is a bug if you install VLC and there are videos which don't play. Is there any reason why the libraries aren't installed or installed alongside VLC?

hello Chris Trisquel when I installed 5.5, which had already loaded vlc
between programs, you could only see in movies and video without audio.After
you install the additional gstreamer libraries toornato vlc is working
properly.
