Hello Everyone,

This question may have been already asked but I since I couldn't find it I will post (again ?).

In Trisquel 5.5, for me, the big thing missing was the "native" support for Compiz. But after some searching I've found that it could be achieved simply by installing and launching Compiz at boot, which could be weird for new people, but was quite a simple task.

Now for 6.0, and even knowing that it isn't officially release, I wanted to do the opposite. I want to start "Gnome Classic" (the normal Trisquel DE), but without Compiz (in order to maximize the performance like in Trisquel 5.5).

So I can I do this ?

Thanks in Advance. And sorry for my bad english :S

I'm new to trisquel, i'm using 4.0.1, but I'm pretty familiar with Compiz
Do you mean you want Compiz to start after gnome has finished loading?

Hi there,

No. This was what I wanted on Trisquel 5.5 but I've solved it out quite easily. What I want on Trisquel 6.0 is to load without Compiz (since there is no "Gnome Classic (No Effects)" option".
