I am thinking of buying a Lenovo ThinkPad T460 and install Trisquel GNU/Linux.

I expect the WiFi not to work.

Can you think of any other issues I should expect?

Context: I need to get a 14-inch screen laptop running for a cooperative to use. Budget is 140 euros.

Looking at the specifications, no, I cannot. Besides the need for a USB dongle if you want Wi-Fi, Trisquel GNU/Linux should run fine. However, if it comes with only 4 GB of RAM (hopefully in one single module... but it may be 2 x 2 GB), it is really worth doubling that, for some additional 12.50€: https://www.ldlc.com/fiche/PB00156963.html

Thank you for mentioning that additional RAM might help. The one I am
considering buying comes with 8 GB DDR3.

That should be enough (in particular to browse the current Web).

Hey, nice find. I had to find the English version of the page because
unfortunately, I do not read French. I need to learn though.

I should have searched a product page in English. I only meant to exemplify that DD3L-1600 RAM (what is wanted for the ThinkPad T460) is still quite cheap. That may change as it will become rarer and rarer. For the moment, there are certainly mainly places where to buy such RAM.

I have a Thinkpad X200 and run a Qualcomm Atheros AR928X Wireless Network Adapter. It works fine with Trisquel.

An Atheros 9285 is currently $6.00 on ebay plus shipping.
