twittering-mode

I have been getting set up in Trisquel. I use Emacs about 90% of the time. One of my favorite packages is twittering-mode, but I can't seem to get it to work in either Xubuntu or Trisquel. It does work fine in OS X. This is the error that shows up. I log in, and the :home shows up, but I can't get a list.

Response: HTTP/1.1 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable for GET https://api.twitter.com/1.1/statuses/home_timeline.json?count=20&include_entities=true

Anybody have any idea how to resolve this issue? Thanks.

I assume you are running the same version of Emacs on Trisquel as you did on OS X?

No Emacs doesn't run very well on OS X. I was using Aquamacs, but an Aquamacs built on Emacs 24, which is what I am using in Trisquel. Looking over the file list having to do with tittering-mode, I can't see any difference. Both should work if one does. But in Trisquel and Xubuntu and Debian it doesn't. All three cause the same error. I was using Emacs 23 in Deb, but got the same error.

Does twittering work on OS X with the binaries from here? http://emacsformacosx.com/ I don't want to encourage you to use OS X of course, but maybe like this you can know if the problem is with a difference between GNU Emacs and Aquamacs or with a difference between operating systems.

I got them, the package tittering-mode, from Elpa in Trisquel and OS X and Xubuntu. I downloaded twittering-mode from Apt on Debian, just to try something else. As I say the only one that works is OS X. To repeat twittering-mode in both Aquamacs in OS X and Emacs in Trisquel are Elpa packages.
