Unity Menus?

Hello, new user here.

I've just installed the Trisquel 6.0 RC3, and am loving it so far. I've managed to get Unity installed, as that's my preferred DE right now.

My only problem is - I'm not getting the menus come up in the top bar like I used to in Ubuntu. Is this possible in Trisquel? What I mean is that instead of having menus at the top of each window, the menus of the active application appear at the top of the screen, like on Ubuntu or Mac OS X.

Once I have that I'll have my ideal desktop set up!

Thanks for any help.

Hi there,

To install this you need to do this on the terminal :

sudo apt-get install appmenu-gtk3 appmenu-gtk appmenu-qt
If you use libreoffice you can try the "experimental" global menu for libreffice by simply doing this :
sudo apt-get install lo-menubar
Hope this helped.
