Thinkpad X60 with a microsoft usb mouse,

When I scroll through the list of bookmarks and rss feeds, up and down at some point the scroll will fail and the list will disappear. A logitech mouse shows the same issue. Even after changing mouse settings the issue remains.

I thought it was scrolling too quickley that may be the problem but it also happens with a slow scroll.

Does this sound like a hardware or software issue ?

It's probably a hardware problem. tried using the usb mouse with Trisquel 8 and Xenial pup. The same scroll glitch occurs. This only happens with the X60. The track point works normally.

Sounds like 945GM display issue?

Hi, how do I access this in Trisquel ? LVDS1 is the name in Hardware/Dsplays.
945GM looks like intel.

This USB mouse scroll problem only happens when bookmarks are opened and scrolling up or down the list but only if the list has rss added.

Abrowser is OK because it has no rss.

Pale Moon has the problem because lots of rss are on the (long) list.

I have no idea what the cause of this scroll problem is but it's not the end of the world. Annoying though.

Turning off smooth scrolling in Pale Moon preferences/advanced/scrolling has calmed the scrolling glitch some. Hasn't eliminated it but the scroll is less prone to closing the browser when rolling over rss.

It only me took six months to try it without smooth scroll. 20 goto 10.

Damnit that was short lived. Return of the scroll issue already. THe cursor really hates being scrolled over RSS, or scrolled too quickly. But only with USB mouse.
If it is a 945GM display as suggested I don't know how to fix that. uninstall then reinstall display drivers ?
