WebBrowser closes on minimizing
Sorry I need your help again... I have reinstalled Trisquel yesterday and now upon minimizing webbrowser it seems to close - I cannot find the minimized site anywhere. Bizarrly if I minimize a running youtube html5 video, it keeps running though so maybe it hasn't closed but I'm only too daft to find it? Any ideas?
addendum: the other programs disappear on minimizing as well
worked it out by stealing an answer from the UbuntuForums hehe: the solution is right click on the panel, select Add to Panel and than choose "Window List"
Exactly, you just deleted the window list somehow from the panel. I thought of it right when I read the first post. It's kind of strange, in windows there is no way to do that, so it's an unknown "issue" to everyone new.
Edit: you could also use the Alt+Tab combination to open up minimized windows. It basically scrolls through all of them in order.
Thanks a lot:-) Man I have to tell you I am so happy with Trisquel. It's great. And it really pushed me to embrace free software more than ever before (I've been using Ubuntu for 2 years before). I feel like it has cleaned me ethically from the dirty compromise Ubuntu has been.
Awesome glad to hear it! If you want to help the project out check out our how to help page (http://trisquel.info/en/wiki/how-help)
Congrats on a new, cleaner PC! One of the most unexpected discoveries in my life was, that software can have ethical issues, not only issues of price and functionality.
you're right... i had never thought about this before. It's incredible how I could have used Ubuntu for so long without Canonical ever making an effort of explaining it to me.... Joined as a member here yesterday. totally loving your work guys
Just to clarify, I don't do any work here besides answering some questions on the forum and advertising Trisquel to my friends (with little to no success however).
