Why Everybody Likes Apple And Microsoft
Apple and Microsoft get lots of tax breaks because of capitalism. While they are spending billions promoting their products the average worker is overworked and pays more taxes than corporations. The system is designed to bail out the rich and screw over the worker. Workers who have less free time on their hands are going to be less picky about the morality of any products they buy, like items made by sweatshops in China or non-free software. The only way to fix this problem is to destroy capitalism, the root of the problem.

Could you be more specific with your reply, I'm confuse with your statement.
defuse me on your comment, not as a sapper!

I hope you get my drift Sra.

No one is perfect.
Is OK , for others to voice their abstract or concrete opinions. but you and I have live and survive the 60'S CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT, cold war era, Communist ideology, either good or bad, many dictators ruling, Yet we are not A prefect SOCIETY but we still and hold our ground and believe in our Rights, and still we are proudly to say "we are Americans" but others still believe we are an evil civilization. Yet we are capitalist and not SOME communist tyrant.
Just my opinion, so you have nice day or NIGHT , thanks for your reply.
PS: Sra. Heather
Respectfully, I understand your point of views but just take other opinions as a grain of salt. Just read the important ones and ignore the lesser opinions.
Please, Do not down grade your self , You are a still a person, a woman, a lady, and most important a citizen who is an "American with civil rights."
There is no reason to be proud of being an American.

So let me ask you this, where are you from? and what it is your nationality? are you a free person?
I'm come from an Oriental metropolis which people there dunno any for software freedom or culture freedom, but there was used to be a Great Britain overseas territories.Where are you come from?
I'm an BNO holder, with recent passport outdated for years, but I am permitted to renew under my lifetime. What is your nationality?
I'm surely heartbroken against survelliance programs, malware, content farms, CCTV, Amazon (hence Ubuntu system), Google, Adobe, AutoDesk, Apple, m$, disciplinary enforcement etc, hence should be also mostly heartbroken against nonfree software. Are you a free person?
>There is no reason to be proud of being an American.
There is no reason whatsoever to be proud of being of any nationality for after all being born in a particular region of this world is no achievement..
You know campanilismo? I think some Italians would say they are 'proud' to be Neapolitan or Sicilian.
>You know campanilismo?
yeah, I remember that. The same chapter spoke about the extreme variety and abundance of Italian regional dialects. It is actually interesting to learn that two Slavs from two distant countries, say Russia and Slovenia are much more likely to understand each other than two Italians living 40 Km one from another :P
> Apple and Microsoft get lots of tax breaks because of capitalism.
This statement is invalid. Nothing about capitalism implies, let alone necessitates, tax breaks.
> The only way to fix this problem is to destroy capitalism, the root of the problem.
What do you propose replacing capitalism with? It's not very constructive to suggest "destroying" the economy without suggesting a replacement.
It would be like saying, "We need to destroy republicanism because it has led to corruption and corporatism." Well, that may be, but destroying a republic without replacing it is just going to lead to a power vacuum, and you may not like what fills it.
> like items made by sweatshops in China
I know this is controversial, but while we rather well-off people living in developed countries consider that sort of work to be horrendously underpaid and dangerous, it is generally speaking much better than what came before it in China, and it improves over time. The same sorts of conditions existed in our countries toward the beginning of the Industrial Revolution as well, but they were so much better than farm life anyway that people accepted the improvement.
This is completely unlike proprietary software, which I would like to point out came about after a period when all software was libre. As such, proprietary software was a regression, whereas the factories in developing nations are a progression.
>This statement is invalid. Nothing about capitalism implies, let alone necessitates, tax breaks.
Do you not know that money buys political power? Look anywhere in the world, in the entire history of the world, and you will find this to be true. Capitalism allows it to happen freely, which is evident because it happens under capitalism, freely. If corporations, which were founded on capitalism and are the result of capitalism, can fund politicians that make these policies through lobbying (which they do), then yes it is capitalism that allows tax breaks.
>What do you propose replacing capitalism with? It's not very constructive to suggest "destroying" the economy without suggesting a replacement.
That's not the goal of my post. I'm just identifying the problem for people who aren't so informed.
Ideally a system under which people actually get the fruit of their labor, as opposed to corporations getting the fruit of others' labor.
> That's not the goal of my post. I'm just identifying the problem for people who aren't so informed.
OK, then. Let's try a different question. What is Capitalism? Please be concrete. This:
> Ideally a system under which people actually get the fruit of their labor, as opposed to corporations getting the fruit of others' labor.
...is not concrete. It could be referring to any number of arrangements.
Similarly, can you please concretely explain what it means to "destroy Capitalism"?

Are you asking me or others? Just in case you are ill point you to https://www.thebalance.com/capitalism-characteristics-examples-pros-cons-3305588 to summarized :Capitalism and Democracy
Economist Milton Friedman suggested that democracy can only exist in a capitalistic society. But many countries have socialist economic components and a democratically-elected government. Others are communist, but have thriving economies thanks to capitalistic components. Examples include China and Vietnam. Still others are capitalist and governed by monarchs, oligarchs or despots.
The United States is mostly capitalistic. The federal government does not own very many corporations. One important reason is that the U.S. Constitution protects the free market. For example:
Article I, Section 8 establishes the protection of innovation through copyright.
Article I, Sections 9 and 10 protects free enterprise and freedom of choice. It prohibits states from taxing each others' production.
Amendment IV prohibits unreasonable government searches and seizures, thereby protecting private property.
Amendment V protects the ownership of private property.
Amendment XIV prohibits the government from taking property without due process of law.
Amendments IX and X limits the government's power to those specifically outlined in Constitution. All other powers not mentioned are conferred to the people.
The Preamble of the Constitution sets forth a goal to "promote the general welfare." It requires the government to take a larger role than that prescribed by a pure market economy. This led to many social safety programs, such as Social Security, food stamps and Medicare.

Good reply!
Allowed me to interject something to your comment.
Even do apple and Microsoft is all about themselves and their Proprietary software.
The GPL Licensing is a major player. They can not survive functionality without the GPL Licensing. A lot of software was writing under GPL, SPECIALLY drivers.
example of this will be the legacy WIFI drivers, The transmission channels of A, B, G, and N. Those legacy Channels their drivers are under the GPL licensing. The new added ones for WIFI drivers such as MIMO bandwidth, it is a proprietary and patent licensing,
US patent (No. 5,345,599 issued in 1994.
