Is www.cofundos.com the way forward for no0bs ??
--------------------------------------
Hi there,
I'm sure you are not ALL programmer-s or compilers , so I was wondering for every-one who is eternally frustrated over a glitch in the trisquel system but hasn't been able to change the code themselves ........ if cofunfos was the way forward for no0bs and people who don't have time to learn C or micro-manage a team of programmers for a month or so. ?
If you go to:
http://cofundos.com/docs/about.php
and then click home and then try to find the most 'bid'-ed projects then you can see that the dollars soon add up in the community.
Sure, there's flattr and others but does it really matter how we get to where-ever we would like to get to as a community if the product is stable for all & going forward ??
This could also link the 1st world users (that seem to inhabit the IRChat room a lot) with the exponential amount of coders in the 3rd world that pass by the trisquel system on a distro-cycle -basis and would mesh the have and the have-not's quite effectively.
Perhaps a new funding source website needs to be developed ??? If so, how would you assure would-be dev's that they would definitely be paid on completion ... and how would you verify all of this code if just a couple of people are funding a small change to a project or program ????
Either way, let me know how you thnk this should gain traction (or not) for the best of the libre-software community. I have finished question's with a set number of question marks : If you could start your answers or comments with the appropriate number of ?'s at the start of your line , then my time in this endeavor will not have been in vain.
Oh, Nice donation SirGrant & jxself amongst others !!
Warmest regArds.
In general, it's an awesome idea to have some place where bids on projects can be made and people will actually be able to execute the freedom to change their software even without the skills to do so. Trisquel already has the so-called crowd funded tasks. Everyone bid on a task, until some programmer feels the bid is appropriate and takes it. When it is done, he gets payed from all the bidders.
hmm no way to browse the tasks though?

Take a look at https://elveos.org
Although it is still young, it looks very promising (and the site is *much*
more pleasant to browse). And yes, I think it definitely is an excellent way
to fund free software projects.
