Time - Time (1972)
A Croatian band from the seventies, very prog and psych and mellow, one of my favorite albums.
Can't think of anything better than Nol. It was a Russian band in the eighties. They folded up in 1992. The leader/frontman was Feodor Chistyakov, the bayanist or accordeon player. He went to the US last year to escape religious persecution. He's a Jehovah's witness.

Their biggest hit Blood Group (1988).

DDT was a band in the former Soviet Union, from Ufa originally (later on: Leningrad) The frontman was/is Yuri Shevchuk.

They (new generations) don't make good music anymore. All great music was composed or recorded decades ago. What they produce today, is commercial crap. The last real artists to challenge anything were the punks. Since then, it's been a downward spiral.

Crap doesn't have longevity. Much of the crap from decades ago (and almost all of the crap from centuries ago) has been forgotten, creating the appearance that the amount of crap has been increasing over time. Today's "real artists" aren't on the radio and aren't favored by YouTube and Spotify's algorithms, so most people won't hear them until today's crap gets forgotten.
It seems to be getting harder and harder to find music on YouTube that can be downloaded without executing proprietary JS. Almost none of the YouTube links shared in this thread work with avideo. :(
