Changing X mouse cursor theme
The look of the mouse cursor is managed with mouse cursor themes.
- To change the theme of the mouse cursor on X, just run the following command in a terminal:
update-alternatives --config x-cursor-theme
To change it system-wide just run the command with root privileges!

- After that, select a cursor theme by hitting a number and [ENTER].
- To see the result, you have to log out of your graphical session, and log in again.
The default X cursor theme is DMZ-White, see screenshot.
The cursor themes are placed at /etc/X11/cursors/ and /usr/share/icons/.
See the screenshot for base X cursor themes, that are part of the package xcursor-themes, which is installed by default on Trisquel GNU/Linux.
