Depending on your needs, you have different options.
LibreOffice Writer
LibreOffice Writer is a full featured word processor. It works with many file formats, including odt, an Open Document Format (ODF). LibreOffice comes with Trisquel.
Using LibreOffice Writer
- In the Main Menu go to Office→LibreOffice Writer
AbiWord
AbiWord is a free and simple word processing program.
