ecryptfs problem after kernel upgrade [solved].

Hi all,

This problem is solved but I'll leave it here for others who may find this useful and/or fix whatever kernel patch breaks encryptfs.

Yesterday I ran dist-upgrade and turned off computer. Computer running linux-libre stable 4.1.27 (jxself.org). Today turned on with the following strange behavior on /home:

~$ls
ls: cannot open directory .: Wrong medium type

However, all the files were still there and accessible by name. I could change to directories (could not auto-complete names with tab), could access files, etc. X Window could not load add-ons, or desktop files, e-mail client created a new index, browser created a new profile.

Upgraded to linux-libre 4.6 kernel. Reboot. /home is back to normal.
