Libreboot T400 performance running a Bitcoin full node

I was considering buying one of these to run a full Bitcoin node in a free as in freedom computer. The problem obviously is, a core2duo CPU is going to take ages to sync the full blockchain.

Has anyone attempted to sync a full node? If so, could you post the results? Ideally with the 8GB, HDD model (I don't trust SSD to store something as sensitive as private keys, in case I needed to delete them).

Im not familiar with Trisquel, and I don't trust pre-installed OS, so I would need to format it and install a distro of my choice. Anything non bloaty would do.

Please if you have the time, try to sync a full node in your computer and post how many days did it took for you to fully sync, list your OS and specifications (RAM and HDD or SSD).
