Xorg not installed?

I've tried to install Trisquel Mini from USB. The flash drive boots properly but I need to edit the boot option by deleting 'splash quite noprompt--' to get into the graphical installation environment. After installating Trisquel though I get stuck at the command prompt. startx won't work because apparently Xorg isn't installed at all (the same goes for Trisquel with Gnome btw). When I manually install it, the dekstop environment that comes up after startx has the default LXDE look and not the Trisquel look. What am I doing wrong?
