The system was running with Trisquel 7 i686 RC.
Dvorak layout was selected as the default keyboard layout during installation.
While using the default graphical Trisquel session, pressing the Super+Space changes the layout to qwerty.
The dvorak layout persisted in the virtual consoles - TTYs.
Since I need IBus for Japanese, and other layouts for other languages (like Esperanto, French, etc.), this completely breaks my computing environment. I'm really not sure how to proceed at this point.
Run the application "Input Method (im-config)" and set the input method from ibus to none.
Removing the packages "ibus-daemon" and "ibus-gtk" solves this issue.
