Descrición

Hi,
I'm using pitivi to edit my video (i'm a video blogger)
I can load my videos (.ogv) on the program, but each time I put them in the "edit" part of the software to edit them, it crash

Here is the terminal output when it happen :

The program 'pitivi' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'.
(Details: serial 154 error_code 8 request_code 133 minor_code 19)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

Using : pitivi --sync dosn't work too.
I'm using an Nvidia card with the free Nouveau driver.

Can you correct this? I can't my videos and most important, can't edit my mini-films :/

Thanks

Estado:active» can't reproduce

I am marking this as unable to reproduce for a couple reasons.

1) I loaded 3.5 in a virtual machine but the packages are no longer available online for it so I can't install pitivi for 3.5
2) I did the next best thing and tried in 4.0
3) I downloaded the GNU Steven Fry video (gnu.org/fry) which is in .ogv format
4) I imported the video and put it in the editing part of the software near the bottom and it worked fine.
5) Did the same thing on the 5.0 and it worked fine.

My conclusion is that either it was something particular in the version of pitivi that was included in 3.5 (which is no longer available) and has been patched since or in theory maybe because of the nouveau driver. However, I am unable to reproduce the bug.

Also if hypothetically you are still using 3.5 and this bug is still relevant you should upgrade to a later version. 3.5 is no longer supported.
