When I upgraded to Taranis via the download manager, I lost the Trisquel logo in the corner that allowed me to see all the programs that are installed. Now I assume that I have to browse for them in my file system every time. I would like to know how to restore this. Perhaps a re-install will make it appear again. As a mention, Trisquel was installed for me by someone else. It was Awen from a FSF USB card (he is a member of FSF).

Hi, athenas_wings. To restore the Trisquel logo and its normal operation, you just have to right-click in any empty space of the dashboard and choose the first option, "add to panel". In the window that appears, scroll until you see an entry similar to "Main Menu" - "Gnome Main Menu", with the Trisquel icon, and double-click it. Now that it's back, you can move it to its original place by right-clicking it and selecting "move".

David.

I found another term for it, something like the Gnome Menu Applet. I am glad to have it back. :) I didn't want to use ALT-F2 all the time. Thank you, David.
