installed Gnome-applet-sensors after installing lm-sensors package. But the applet is not shown in the applet list of gnome panel after install.
If you are looking for CPU temperature I found that installing these packages makes it available (maybe some are redundant):
gnome-panel-bonobo indicator-applet indicator-applet-appmenu sensors-applet
A restart might be required and then you just add "Hardware Sensors Monitor" to the panel (maybe you also need to add the "Indicator Applet" to the panel).
I installed
sensors-applet
and all its dependencies and the applet did not show up in the list. Then I installed the packages aloniv mentioned. A restart was required and then I could add the Hardware Sensors Monitor. I did not have to add anything else to the panel. Is this still an issue? Does the help by malberts and others help?
