The 10.0.x LTS edition, codename Nabia.
Nabia is a long term support (LTS) version, which will be supported until mid-2025, getting security updates until 2025. It is based on Ubuntu 20.04 (Focal Fossa).
Trisquel 10.0, is the first release without x86 support, also the first release adding armhf repository, still not endorsing any arm device yet.
Software versions and distro editions
This release is based on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS and as always it contains only free software, including:- Internet
- Abrowser 96.x, as default web browser for MATE, KDE, LDXE desktop environments.
- Electrum Wallet 4.0.9, latest release
- Ofimatic Suite
- LibreOffice "Still" by deafult (7.1.7 at the time of the release).
- Linux-libre based kernels tracking upstream,,
- 5.4.x
- 5.8.x
- 5.13.x
- Backports, several key packages added/updated through the backports repository, use with care.
Editions
This release has 4 editions:- Trisquel MATE desktop, the default. Based on the popular fork of GNOME 2.x, this edition provides a classic desktop environment matching the user experience of previous Trisquel releases.
- Triskel, running the KDE environment. Excellent for customizing the design and look in fine detail.
- Trisquel Mini, for netbooks and old computers.
- Trisquel Sugar or Trisquel On A Sugar Toast (TOAST) based on the Sugar learning platform. Comes with dozens of educational activities for children.
And an alternative network installer for full customization.
- Trisquel netinstall installer, to deploy with a command-line install interface, ideal for servers and advanced users.
