There is a small amount of players with "native" support for playing music from a UPnP/DNLA.
Here a small list and some additional notes.
VLC
VLC is the most resourceful media player out there, and it can play both music and videos files comming from a UPnP/DLNA server without any additional requirement.
Just by going View > Playlist, it should be possible to see on the left sidebar the UPnP section to search for available servers on the network.
Rhythmbox
While Rhythmbox has UPnP/DLNA support it is through a plugin, and it requires to install the grilo-plugin-0.3 package to be able to use it.
sudo apt install grilo-plugins-0.3
Then on Menu > Preferences > Plugins enable the Grilo plugin.
On the bottom left corner, click on the "+" (plus) button and select Check for New Devices, then UPnP/DLNA servers should be present under a Shared section on the left column.
...keep adding more as you find.
