Hello,

I am trying to install Trisquel 6, but I'm not having much luck. I want to install it using the following option:

Guided - use entire disk and set up encrypted LVM

Please see 1.png.

After chosing the options which follow, I then get asked to enter in an encryption passphrase, which I do and I confirm, but then I get the following error message:

Partition disks
COnfiguration of encrypted volumes failed
An error occorred while configuring encrypted volumes.
The configuration has been aborted.

Please see 4.png.

How can this issue be resolved? I don't want to install it if it means my laptop is unencrypted

It's a known issue and a new ISO is planned. There is a thread here on the forums, I think.

Thanks for the reply. Just tried the 32 and 64 bit ISO's, same problem on both. I can't seem to find the link about a planned new ISO though.

Just tried the 64bit version of 6.0.1 and it seems the problem is still exists.

Yeah, the ISO is still planned. There is a thread here on the forums though for a workaround. You have to use the Expert mode of the installer: https://trisquel.info/en/forum/trouble-installing-full-disk-encryption

Please release the ISO. I want to put it on a new computer that has more modern hardware and having the Saucy kernel there by default will help a LOT.

Looks like 6.0.1 has been released but no "Install Trisquel in Text Mode" option...

What about doing a netinstall?

I'll give that a go now.

Can't see it from the netinstall iso either.
