Trisquel Philips in/compatibiity?
I have received (for a very short time) a very good priced offer if I buy a brand new (out of the box) Philips 19" 193V5LHSB2 desktop monitor.
I am interested in having a new monitor for a computer that will only use Trisquel as its operating system but I have never (in my long life) used Philips monitors before.
Have you ever heard of problems between Philips and Trisquel or any other member of the GNU/Linux family of operating systems?
All sort of answers to this question are welcomed.
Non delayed answers are very welcomed. ;-)
Thank you in advance.
Sorry for the typos in the title.

Trisquel - Philips in/compatibility ?

Never. I personally mostly use VGA connectors, but hdmi should not be a problem either.
To be more precise, I used VGA and HDMI respectively with two different Philips monitors of very different mileage.
I have lenovo monitor that I use with my computer with a display port cable to my X220 dock. I also connect my computer to my TV with a display port to hdmi and I have not had any issues.

Thank you for being interested.
I would like to get into details about my first experience with a Philips monitor using a free operating system like Trisquel.
But though I already bought it, received it, opened the package and assembled it, I haven't tested it yet because I'm thinking out how to solve some technical problems that have appeared and that I believe could interfere with an unbiased evaluation.
I have even thought of asking for some help to solve them in this forum.
I'm not sure if this is the best place to expand on them.
An appropriate question might trigger an explanation here.
There will always be time to resume or restart it as another topic if necessary.
;-)
Glad it helped. Enjoy.
