Hello
I'm on a Trisquel8 live USB, reading one of Python Software Foundation's recommended books.
This book invites the reader to start python3 and its built-in application called IDLE.
I have been able to start python3 through MATE Terminal 1.12.1

trisquel@trisquel:~$ python3
Python 3.5.2 (default, Nov 23 2017, 16:37:01)
[GCC 5.4.0 20160609] on linux
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
>>>

and that has allowed me to discover many interesting things, but I haven't been able to find the steps I should follow to launch IDLE.

Can somebody please help me to solve this problem and/or share some thoughts with me?

Thanks you very much for your time.

Have you installed the package named "idle"?

Hello!
Thank you very much for answering!
When I read your message I had just shut down Trisquel8 and was testing Trisquel9 liveUSB.
At that time I was sure I hadn't found IDLE at Flidas' Add/Remove Applications main menu.
Taking advantage of being on Etiona I thought I should give its Add/Remove Applications item a chance and searche for IDLE there.
And I found it!
I immediately came back to Trisquel8's Add/Remove Applications item and searched for IDLE there...
And I also found it!!!
Encore une fois, je vous remercie beaucoup.
