Hi my friends, I installed Alliance for VHDL file but I can't open it. I use sudo apt-get install Alliance but nothing. I want know the mistake because I want trisquel as fedora electronics lab as but only with free software.

Letter case matters, Alliance =/= alliance. Package names are always lower case.

Not necessarily. A friend of mine uses Arch, and when he tried to install
figlet, the package was not found. Turns out it is (or at least was) FIGlet,
which is coincidentally the only package I've ever seen with uppercase letters
in it. In Debian the package is figlet in lowercase.
Generally package names (in sensible distributions) are lowercase.
