Hi all, is anyone else experiencing poor wifi stability with Trisquel 12?

I have several USB wifi adapters (all using the AR9271 chipset) that consistently drop my wifi connection. Additionally, every boot fails to connect to my wifi network and I am forced to connect manually every time I login (usually via the taskbar or just replugging the dongle).

For what it's worth, I'm running a HP Elitedesk Mini 800 G5.

Cheers.

When I am using such an adapter for a Lenovo T14s, the wifi regularly gets disconnected and it seems impossible to connect again. In that case, I unplug the adapter and plug it again, trying the other USB socket (there are 2), then it often works, but it is very annoying. I normally don't boot with the USB wifi adapter connected. In my case, it is usually possible to use ethernet instead, so that is what I do most of the time and I did not investigate further this wifi problem.

@Aht: I have 2 USB dongles (AR9271 chip with the 10 cm antenna, USB ID: 0cf3:9271) and have no problem (tested with streaming videos). Maybe you should post the USB ID of your USB key. Kernel: 6.8.0.100

However I have this kind of issue with a other USB key (USB ID: 06f8:e033, chip: Realtek RTL8188CUS), mainly with streaming videos. But it is usual with the device :( (I have two also).

OK so now I have been using a physical ethernet cable instead of my wifi, as I expected this to fix the issue, but I get the exact same initialization and drop-out issues lol. I have to select my wired network connection on start up, and it seems that if I am not actively streaming a video or using the internet, the connection just completely drops out after a few minutes and I am forced to re-connect manually again.

Can anyone else replicate this?

Here is my lshwoutput:
