Just found this article on people's views on the whole GNU/Linux or Linux naming scheme. Linking this does not mean that I am giving my opinion, but more of an indication of what is out there:

In that link lembas posted, there is the refutation of every point given by "Linux-only people" (which predominate). I wonder if the writer of such article "from out there" (because, as t3g loves to maliciously assume, we live in an island -- he doesn't) searched for the truth by really listening to what Stallman and FSF have to say about and answer it (and so by viewing the object from different perspectives), or just wanted to increase++ the masses.

I believe so; that "GNU/Linux naming defenders say that, but others took a more measured view" trick is despicable, disgusting. She assumes a more measured view is not a mensuration of the object in matter, but of the common opinions. Indeed, that's a very scientific method. Great!
