Tried to do a back up today using the back up that comes with Trisquel and got this error:

"Backup location ‘/home/tri/.cache/deja-dup/tmp/duplicity-o5ZD6V-tempdir/mktemp-ECNNI4-61’ does not exist."

What does this mean and how do I fix it?

cheers

Are you sure it is an error? Does the application terminate? It could simply be an informational message.

Strangely, trying different things i.e. doing an encrypted back up on an encrypted drive (that is decrypted for the duration of the back up), doing an encrypted back up on an unencrypted drive, doing an unencrypted back up on an unencrypted drive, I get different error messages. Here's a screen shot of the latest (from doing an unencrypted back up on an unencrypted drive)

And yes, the application terminates after clicking close.

I think the hard drive I was attempting to back up to is dying. I've tried a different drive and the back up seems to be going well.

I think the original drive kept on failing to read at a particular sector, which would explain why the back up kept on failing at the same point. If this back up doesn't work with the new drive, I'll post a bug report.
