Hi Trisquel community! I'd like to buy a Libreboot laptop (but i can't), and I was looking for it in Tehnoethic and Minifree, and both have its pros and cons. In Tehnoethic, libreboot laptops have bluetooth, do Minifree's laptops have? I stay with Minifree's prices, because Technoethic sells them with low internal storage and more expensive. In the case Minifree's laptops don't have bluetooth, how can I have it? In Tehnoethic's it says that its laptops have a chip. Any video/tutorial that explains how to do that?

Thanks in advance!

Hi and thank you for considering Tehnoetic. Our laptops preinstalled with libreboot and different fully free GNU/Linux-libre distros (Trisquel, Parabola, Dragora, gNewSense, etc) have the best Bluetooth 4.0 (50-100m range) as opposed to original 2.0 and 450Mpbps Dual Band WiFi as opposed to 150Mbps Single Band.

By default, our laptops ship with 85-100% life extended battery and the maximum RAM preinstalled, which is 8GB. The price reflects that. I believe that if at minifree.org you select the 8GB RAM/160GB HDD option, you end up with a similar or higher price because the prices are in GBP, not in EUR, and you also have to pay VAT.

Looking forward to give you more details at name at domain

I recently bought an X200 tablet from Tehnoetic, here's a picture of what the adapter and card look like on the inside. You can see the Bluetooth adapter is Tehnoetic's Nano adapter, which they also sell on the store, along with a mini PCIe USB adapter (nice bonus!). It comes with the N450 wireless card, which is again also available on the store. My model is the X200 tablet, not the X200, but I'd assume the wireless hardware is equivalent due to the spec sheets being the same. Recommended!

Thank GNU, Ben! I haven't revisited the Trisquel forum in a while, and I'm very happy to see that you have answered this question from the community.

It is worthwhile to get a T500 over T400? and how is portability? I know these laptops are not very light like X200
