Some applications have a blurry icon in the Gnome Shell's Activities window. I guess they didn't provide an icon with the correct size in their package. However, it surprises me that LibreOffice is among them. Can anyone else using GNOME 3 Shell and LibreOffice see this problem as well? Any solution? I couldn't find any solution online.

I've installed a new icon pack from http://gnome-look.org I have nicer icons and fixed the sizing issues.

oysterboy, I don't have that problem with GNOME 3 in Fedora. LibreOffice icons look fine. Sorry. :/

How about the gnome-icon-theme* packages?

Hmm... Same problem in Unity by the way. Strange. Couldn't find a solution.

In the meantime, I installed the Cinnamon ppa and I really, really like it. Every single icon looks perfect.

To clarify, the reason you're getting blurry icons is that they're not in the infinitely scalable SVG format, but a bitmap image format like PNG. I'm not sure exactly why you're not getting the SVG versions, though.

You can get the new GNOME 3.8 icons.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/27c5qvxhso6c2sx/icons.zip
http://worldofgnome.org/new-default-folder-icons-for-gnome-3-8/

For change the icons you have two ways:
1. Alt+F2 > gksu nautilus > now your password and go to /usr/share/icons (or File System in the left side and go to that).
(this change icons in all the system)

2. Open nautilus(file manager), press Ctrl+H to find the hidden folders and put the icons in the folder ".icons" or create the folder.
(this change icons only in your account)

For change the icons from default "Trisquel" for GNOME "Adwaita":
System Settings > Advanced Settings > Theme > Icon theme

Unfortunately this blurry icons is one Trisquel problem. Ruben doesn't matter for this because the default is GNOME Fallback.
