Just a thought. I was thinking that a half iced man would be able to do thinking. They can live until the ice melts. But I noticed that perfectly iced men too might be able to do thinking. It seems that there is no technology to melt iced human beings safely yet. Cell membrane or something seems to be damaged critically. So there must not be a man who know the question. Or is there? I have seen a small fish that was recovered from an iced state, though. I think that was swimming after that normally.

It depends on whether thought occurs in the brain, or if it occurs as part of a "life force" that occurs without the brain or body. There are legitimate differences of opinion on this topic. If thinking occurs as part of an independent life force, then it would probably continue with the man completely iced. However, your scientific tests would not be able to measure it, because they are looking for activity within the body. Buddhists seem to believe that the mind is not part of the body.
