Once again, Ron Wyden is leading the charge against it. Blumenthal and Graham seem to have limited knowledge regarding technology or the world they inhabit.

I'm pretty disappointed with Casey.

This is why people who have no knowledge of how technology actually is, should have any right to make laws surround tech.

Also, those two senators are tools.

Though to be fair, I absolute hate that they have to be so dishonest about every bill made to destroy privacy/security by calling it stuff like the "patriot act" or other nonsense...

Ever law that is against privacy/security should have a name that is more appropriate, such as:

Control The Populace Act
The Third Reich Act (Because obviously this is what they are trying to get!)
The Discriminate Against Minorities Act
The Abuse My Power Act
The Pinky and The Brain Act (Meaning they are trying to take over the world!) ;)

Basically...

anything that sounds contrary to those names in the opposite direction, should not be used as a name for actively trying to give power to people that cannot be trusted, so they can do whatever the hell it is with the data they collect for any reason, even if it is the equivalent of what Hitler wished he could do... Basically, it seems like USA is controlled by mostly right wingers including people who claim to be democrats but are actually republicans, such as Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Kyrsten Sinema, Joe Manchin to name a few... aside from them, the democrat party is basically the old republican party... with their corruption aside from certain individuals... The irony? The very people who want to fix these problems, people like AOC, Bernie Sanders? They are the ones who need the power but are being denied it...
Thus, things will only get better, till people realize Capitalism is hell!

So much deception from Conservatives on both sides...

Side note, Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema, as well as their republican donors should get the hell out of the way of progress, or expect to be thrown into abyss...

Those two in particular are that bad for pretending to be democrats/liberals, though.

Did Manchin/Sinema pretend to be a liberal? I don't think Manchin pretended to be a liberal; West Virginia is a very conservative state after all. I know a lot of people thought Sinema was a liberal, but before her Senate run she was well known for being one of the most conservative Democrats in the House.

Hickenlooper, the new senator from Colorado, is another "centrist" Democrat with ties to the fossil fuel industry, so I wouldn't be surprised if he's just hiding behind Manchin/Sinema.

Read about Bernie and the F35 and then make an educated decision about whether or not he is just another b.s. artist.

I'm in favor of killing 230 because I'm in favor of killing Web 2.0. I believe we have demonstrated we don't have the right environment for it right now, be it regulations, education levels, responsible companies, etc. Yes some of Web 2.0 is very useful, Wikipedia and stackexchange for example, but these can be forked to a non-American country. The bulk of Web 2.0, maybe 98%, pretty much doesn't need to be on the internet, and making it impossible for Americans to make mega-platforms will probably make the world a better place (I don't see Facebook as it is now being made in Europe and pretty much no where else has the means to host such a thing).
