Do we have a date for the Trisquel 8 release?

With Ruben being employed by the FSF, it helps with Trisquel development and hopefully gets a release within a month or so of Ubuntu 16.04. I'm excited about the MATE based main release and how it will look and function better than Trisquel 7.
Any release dates or release windows set?

Ready when it is.
It's easy to get excited, and I'm sure the FSF $ helps, but it's definitely best to keep low expectations and be patient. It's reasonable to hope that Trisquel 8 could be out soon (this being May 2016, and last LTS release in 2014, never gone so long between releases in the past), and it is based on Ubuntu 16.04 which comes out July 1. Note, though, that it took 7 months from Ubuntu 14.04 until Trisquel 7, and 11 months from Ubuntu 12.04 to Trisquel 6. So at that rate we would be waiting at least until early 2017. Let's hope not, but let's keep reasonable expectations. I'm excited to see what comes!
