I have tried Trisquel OS, since I want to leave Debian OS, where all their Web-browsers except for Dillo, doing spying for Google and Amazon.
Unfortunately, I can't get my DTV card T982 from DVBSky to work in Trisquel, as it needs one or more closed drivers, so if there are some who know if you can give permission in Trisquel to run such drivers, then I will be happy.

You don't need permission to install non-free drivers and/or firmware on Trisquel. However, we can't help you because of the community guidelines.

This forum rejects any form of non free software. On
that forum you chose to ask how to install
specific non free software. Does
it add up?

On a banana forum, do you ask for plum recipes?

This post is kinda contradictory. On one hand Chris wants to avoid being spied by Google or Amazon, in the other hand he doesn't care what proprietary software can do by using that hardware.
