Hi every one.

I notice that even after joining the YouTube HTML 5 Beta as suggested in our docs https://trisquel.info/en/wiki/play-videos-without-using-flash , youtube kept offering the flash player in some videos.

At first I thought the reason was that those videos didn't have a webm format available, but then I notice that plugins to download the videos did offer a webm version, so that couldn't be it.

Then I remember reading some where in the forum that "Some videos with ads are not yet supported".

For those specific cases I used to use linternamagica, which is a wonderful script created by Ivaylo Valkov, that lets you play youtube videos emended in the page using totem. I find it specially useful for low performance laptops like net books and old computers, since abrowser's html5 player seems to demand a lot from the system, for some reason, compared to totem that runs smoothly.

In any case, I wanted to share that I found a couple of ways to Force YouTube to Use the HTML5 Player even in those videos that I being taking about. One way is by using the following greasy monkey script http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/154468 called YouTube HTML5 KISS. Is a very short script, although I was unable to find the license. Then there is this plugin called YouTube ALL HTML5 https://addons.mozilla.org/es/firefox/addon/youtube-all-html5/ which is license under GNU version 3 :)

I didn't know about the existence of this plugins so it was a very surprised and embarrassed since I been wanting something like this for years. Hope it helps someone out there. I'll try to add this info to the https://trisquel.info/en/wiki/play-videos-without-using-flash .

Hopefully one day we'll all be using mediagobling. Have a nice day all.

Now I'm more embarrassed, there was a note at https://trisquel.info/en/wiki/play-videos-without-using-flash talking about Youtube All HTML5. I'm sorry guys. Thank you for your patience.
