Retired Respiratory Therapist John Strupat in Ontario (Canada) designed a $500 ventilator to try and alleviate the critical shortage of ventilators during local hospitals' struggle with COVID-19. John tried to get the Canadian and American governments involved, but two weeks have passed, and he hasn't heard back from them.

Incredible. It's such a shame that Canada and the US aren't taking it seriously. Especially given that notice on what the FDA had said on his website.

Obviously, the (capitalist) governments don't like free/libre things, because they are unprofitable, even at the cost of their people's (workers') lives.

The only thing that capitalists and their governments cherish is money.
