Have you made this work?

I'm thinking of the Wiimote as the first option:

The Aim-Track costs more (specially for casual gaming),
and I'm not sure that it would be as "hackable" to make it work on Trisquel.

I've gotten a Wiimote working on Trisquel. Since the lightgun is pretty much just a glorified "B" button, it'd probably work.

So you have the Wiimote and it's sensor bar connected via Bluetooth on Trisquel, that's it?
If it's not extremely complex, I'd love to try and make a Duck Hunt clone.
At the core, it's a simple shape moving randomly, and the game is won when that shape is clicked on.
Then a few NICE graphics, and voilà.
Of course, it's never that simple, but I'm willing to try.

You can do that easily with JS. I think there is a libre Duck Hunt clone somewhere.

Oh sweet!!!
Thanks andermetalsh!
This is hilarious! The sound effects are epic, and level 5 (and up) difficulty is just ducks on steroids!
Awesome!!!

I'll try to tweak it so I can get it to full screen, or close to that.

The sensor bar is just two infrared LEDs. It doesn't need to be connected to anything except a power source. All the pointing calculation is done by the remote.

Ah ok, so I just need to connect the remote via Bluetooth.

I found this (not tried yet), if somebody else is interested in making this work:

Once I get my hands on 2 Wiimotes, the duck hunt is about to unfold.
Maybe it's worth getting the wheel adapter, for say SupertuxKart.

As I discovered that MUGEN wasn't fully free (but free enough to just play around), I stumbled upon Beats of Rage.
Man, that's a good day.
