I'm running Triskel (kde plasma desktop) but would like to use icedove email client with it. It runs fine but grabs it's default browser from the gnome default applications, apparently. The problem is that I can't get the gnome default applications to list rekonq as an optional default browser. Does anyone know how I can do this?

Are http and https listed in Preferences/Attachments/Incoming? If so, simply follow the instructions from http://opensource.about.com/od/Internet/a/How-To-Change-The-Default-Browser-In-Thunderbird.htm. If not, you'll have to add them - you can find instructions for that at: https://askubuntu.com/questions/130158/how-do-i-make-thunderbird-open-links-in-chromium
