GNU/Linux Children's Book

Hello Everyone!
I noticed lately that there are not many books about GNU/Linux geared towards children. Most of the books I can find are either for software engineers or hackers who already have a solid understanding of computers and value ethical computing.
I've decided to write a children's book that revolves around the idea of sharing with friends and using GNU/Linux and free software as examples. I am almost finished writing a (very) rough draft and was wondering if any of you would find a book like this interesting? I plan to release the book under a libre license so that anyone can download and share it. After all, if the point of the book is sharing how would it look if I did not allow others to share my book??
Also have any of you written a book and had it published? I haven't researched any publishers yet because I'm not really able to afford too many fees at the moment, but I would love to one day sell actual hard copies of my book!
I'll definitely look at them thanks for the reference! And once I get it in a nice readable format I'd be happy to let you and your 7yo take a look!
In the defence of this area of computing, I find that there aren't really any books about Windows geared towards children. :p
But yea, that sounds like a nice idea. :)
I suppose you're right :p
tdlnx that is a nice project. keep it up. if you want to send me a copy I can read it and give you my opinion and suggestions.
cheers
Thanks! I'm hoping to have a first draft done sometime in the next week or two.
I volunteer to read it! Provide me your evaluation guidelines for the book. Send it to my e-mail. Im willing to help out.
i also volunteer to read it!
Same here! I consider myself a critiquing bastard, so perhaps that'll help my case. Honest brutality! ^_^
Thanks for all the offers to give it a read! I haven't had much time to work on it this week (being on call is the worst) so I'm behind the schedule I set for myself.
Although, I feel like I shouldn't rush as I'm sure the more time spent on it the better it will turn out.
