Help. How to disable touchscreen?

My laptop has a malfunctioning touchscreen. It needs to be shut off.

I just switched from Mint. And I was pretty new to Mint too.
On Mint I can turn it off by entering this into the terminal:

sudo xinput set-prop 'ELAN Touchscreen' 'Device Enabled' 0

On Trisquel the above just gives me an error about xinput.
