I see no way to get me Root privileges. There's no account manager.
I can't open Synaptic from the menu (only via shell), can't edit the network connections...
This the following link (http://www.wikihow.com/Become-Root-in-Ubuntu) help you? The procedure should also apply to Trisquel.
On Trisquel-Mini Synaptic can be found under "Preferences" as well as the network settings.
No, that doesn't help.
As i have already said: My Trisquel has no graphic system administration where i could grant myself root privileges.
And i know what i can find in Preferences, but i can't start Synaptic from that menu, nor can i edit network connections.
What actually happens? When you launch the Synaptic package manager, your password should be asked.
When i click on Synaptic in the Preferences menu, nothing happens. The menu disappears but i don't even hear any CPU activity.
I can enter network connections, but when i want to edit one i get a message that i don't have sufficient privileges.
1. Open terminal
2. sudo su -c "passwd"
3. Enter password
4. Use root account.

That seems like a bug. I think it should ask for your password. Consider filling a bug report.

We already have one here
sudo apt-get install policykit-1-gnome
and then logout
Now it works. Policykit did the trick. Thanks, gnu. I also followed david's advice, but that didn't get me anywhere, apparently.
What happens now is that i enter my normal accout password to get the necessary privileges.

That's how it's done.
Wait, I'm pretty sure Trisquel mini came with policykit-1-gnome installed.
What got it removed?
According to http://cdimage.trisquel.info/trisquel-images/trisquel-mini_7.0_amd64.iso.manifest "policykit-1" is in the default system but "policykit-1-gnome" is not. If Synaptic really cannot run without the latter package, it is a bug.
Without trying to get offtpopic, do you also have the problem that the update manager from the menu just crashes in trisquel mini?, which is also another policykit problem i believe. Alot of new users mention this and might be a turn off.
I didn't try that. I installed Trisquel only on saturday and made updates in Synaptic. Now, with policykit, no problem with the update manager.
