How to find new installed apps?

Newbee Q: When installing new applications on standard install trisquel. Where do you find your applications (like icons - not hencing to cli applications). (In a gnome shell or unity you can search for them, but how to do this in standard trisquel install?)

They should be in the menu. You can open it by clicking on the trisquel icon on panel at the bottom left corner of the screen.
