Last update slowed down my system

Hello,
some days ago I was prompted to update the system, I did it, and now Trisquel does not run smoothly as before.

For example I can not longer see a video at full screen, when I save a file with Abrowser it takes like 10 seconds of waiting to create and rename a new folder.

Is there a way to roll back the last update? Or what should I do to get the system running smooth again. I am using a Lenovo T400 not exactly a new pc.

Well, this command will list the packages that were updated in case you want to dig which package might be the culprit of the slowdown.

cat /var/log/dpkg.log | grep "\ install\ "

thanks, I got this result

2016-11-09 12:24:59 install linux-image-3.13.0-100-lowlatency:amd64 3.13.0-100.147+7.0trisquel2
2016-11-09 12:26:23 install linux-headers-3.13.0-100:all 3.13.0-100.147+7.0trisquel2
2016-11-09 12:26:29 install linux-headers-3.13.0-100-lowlatency:amd64 3.13.0-100.147+7.0trisquel2

should I do sudo apt-get remove linux-image-3.13.0-100-lowlatency:amd64
sudo apt-get remove 3.13.0-100.147+7.0trisquel2
and so on?

You can safely do

$ sudo apt-get clean
&
$ sudo apt-get autoremove

this was the output
The following packages will be REMOVED
bzflag-client bzflag-data bzflag-server libc-ares2

a friend of mine also told me to do
sudo dpkg --configure -a
to check if all the programs were ok.

Now it is running smoother

the smoother scrolling was an impression, now it is back again at now showing video properly.

I did not understood what I should do to revert to the previous state

Apparently, what is giving you trouble, if indeed that is what it is, is the kernel, you could try installing the libre kernel jxself hosts and see how that does does it for you.
Go with the 4.8..
