Hello.

So i bought an T60, installed Trisquel with no issues at all, i was surprised that this laptop came with Atheros AR5212 802.11abg NIC, so wi fi worked out of the box. It's destiny telling me to stay in free software.

Anyway, i want to libreboot the T60, and the data on /sys/class/drm/card0-LVDS-1/edid gives me this:

N41XC-L01 The LCD Panel it's 14", in the libreboot page it says that IDtech N41XC (14" 1024X768) is compatible. Wanted to know if you think that it's the same model, so it could work on libreboot.

Thanks

if the screen doesn't work, note that you can still use an external monitor on the VGA port

I believe they are the same model. Even not, you can still use external display. Be sure that the graphics adapter is Intel 945GM and not ATI Mobility Radeon X1x00.

Once you have flashed coreboot/libreboot, the whitelist of WLAN is no more, so you can replace a much better WLAN adapter such as AR9382.

The laptop is ok now. Libreboot works with it

Congratulations. Here is another idea. I remember that 15-inch T60 models use same motherboard as 14-inch models. I wonder whether is it possible to migrate one 945GM board to the 15-inch T60p. The UXGA (1600*1200) screens are really cool. And I remember that some R50p models use QXGA (2048*1536) screens. If we manage to migrate R50p's screen to T60p as well...
