Lenovo X61s WiFi

Hi There,
I just purchased an X61s and loaded Trisquel v7 i686 onto it. Running some commands:

If memory serves me, the Intel WiFi card is bad news. I thought this laptop model had an Atheros WiFi card. At least that's what h-node.org says about the X61s.
As far as I can tell, my options are to get a USB WiFi adapter or ditch this X61s and try another computer.
Ideas, opinions?

Yes, intel wifi will not work. Third option is to get an internal wifi card but it might be difficult to open the laptop and some laptops have whitelists concerning which wifi cards they accept...
ps. you probably want to install 64 bit Trisquel.

I considered installing a wifi card but my ability to work with laptop's is not that great and the 's' model is slim which means that it will be harder to work with.
This X61s has 2gb of memory. Why would I consider a 64bit OS with less than ~3gb of RAM? There is no advantage.
I believe some software will take advantage of the larger registers and be able to run faster because of it.

in 32bit, each program can access 2GB of memory.
most program use less than 2GB of memory
I dont see why larger registers by itself should be faster...
unless, and this is just thoughts, the program allocates lots of small memory pieces and deallocates them again in a pattern that creates a lot of memory fragmentation. Hmm but I don't think this would actually be 'slower' with less memory, you would just hit the wall faster (according to avaliable memory size)...
