Anybody got md5sums for the 4.0.1 iso's? I can't seem to find them on the site. I think the iso I burned may be bad. The seem to have frakked two of my drives so far. Frakked being beyond fsck or fdisk repairable.

That would some explanation. The installer may fail to copy all files
from a damaged iso/cd, but the target filesystems are created during the
installation, so they should work in any case. Check your disk for
damaged sectors.

thanks all... unusual that they show the md5 file after the download instead of beneath it. Yeah... it was a bad iso that was fragging the drives...

Try downloading from the torrents then run the check after downloading. Plus using the torrents helps w/ the bandwidth load.

thanks all... yeah. I ran BT but forgot to do the hash check before I burned it. It's all good now.
